A.C, Condensor

Need help i recently had my ac serviced to charge up and found that my condensor had a leak in it, but the thing is it was replaced just about 2 months ago. Went back to bodyshop that installed it and i can get it replaced but the problem is they need the car for a least 2 days. My question is is it possible to remove the condensor and still drive the car because i can get my friend who's a mechanic to remove it for me for the exchange for the new one. It will save me money to get it took out from my friend because i don't need to rent car. Thanks for the feedback if anybody has any suggestions.
