Driver Seat Popping...

Driver Seat Popping...
07 SL, 43000 miles.
Having an odd noise issue with the front seat, with vehicle pitching and acceleration, I hear a popping in the seat below me as my body shifts with the movement of the car. Feels more noticeable on the left side towards the back.
Is this inside the track, and is it something under a recall perhaps?
Anyone else experience this before?
I plan on removing the entire seat soon to inspect, but chances are I'm not going to discover the noise, since it will be difficult to duplicate without the right position and weight shifting.
BTW, I only weight 179 so Overweight jokes don't apply...

It's your lumbar support. Really no fix for this. Dealer replaced mine under 3 years/36k miles, but the new one does the same sometimes. You can try to adjust it further back if still comfortable. May not compress as much then.

check my other thread. Yours sounds similar. I got mine fixed in about 20 minutes flat.
The symptoms you described sound almost identical to mine.
Definitely take the seat out. There are two bolts in the front and two in the back. And two connectors (assuming you dont have heated seats - not sure if they have additional connections, they probably do)

Start off by removing the plastic bolt covers and make sure the seat bolts are tight.
I just replaced my OEM seats, when I removed them I was shocked at how loose the bolts were.

I'll check here in the near future, both that and the mounting bolts for the seat as KC suggested...

nope i thought it was, but it was ok. just the one bolt that was missing on the left back corner. My mounting bolts were fine.
