broken headlight???!!

i got my DDM HID conversion kit today and was so stoked to start working on it. I got 35W 6k hid's D2S bulbs. During installation i took off the gray cap and was trying to get them in and accidentally broke the gray cap off that you would screw the bulb into.

i was wondering if i made a rookie mistake in ordering the wrong bulb or if im not trying to put it in the right place?

thoughts?

I am assuming you are converting your halogen lights to HID. Assuming that, you got the wrong bulbs. D2S bulbs are for HID projectors, you have halogen projectors. The halogen projectors use 9012 bulbs, but you can use 9006 HID bulbs with some modification to the base of the bulbs.

See if you can exchange the bulbs for 9006 ones. Since you broke your bulb holder, here's some available on eBay.

+1

Remember once they sent me a pair of bulbs with a broken tab on one. Once I sent them a pic of it. They sent me another pair without having to send the other ones back. Now, I have an extra bulb just in case.
