Who makes the stock clutch?

I just purchased a 6th gen transmission with the intentions of swapping it into my 5.5gen.

It came with the dual mass flywheel and clutch with supposedly 39k miles on it.

The clutch that came with it is made by Exedy and is identical to the Exedy OEM replacement clutch I just purchased.

I am wondering if the stock clutch is made by Exedy or if this transmission was on its second clutch (which probably means it has more than 39k miles).

Thanks

I would love it and that's a great price but I can't afford that right now. I just paid $900 for the transmission plus another $100 for oil and seals.

Thanks though.

Would anyone happen to have a picture of the stock clutch?

What happened to you stock transmisison? You know the final drive is a bit different between the 5.5 and 6th gens. The final drive for the 5.5 gen is 3.812 and it's 4.133 for the 6th gen. Should give you a little better performance.

My input shaft bearing is going bad. The car is 140k miles on it so I figured I would just replace the entire transmission.

I am aware of the gearing differences. Also, the 6th gen tranny got upgraded synchros in 2004 then another upgrade in 2005 so hopefully this trans will shift better.

I actually wish it didn't have the shorter final drive because I am boosted so I already spin pretty much all of second gear. This will probably make it worse.

I just hope this trans does really have 39k miles like the place said and not 139k like mine LOL
