Yeah man, had the same issue with my 03, with only 84000 on it. I bought an OEM kit from DAVEB for about 275 shipped to my house. A buddy and I took about 12 hours to replace it. First clutch job we ever did. Could have been worse, but still a lot of work.

I recommend having a transmission jack, because we spent almost 2-3 hours just trying to mate the transmission and the engine, perhaps the biggest pita of the job.

Good luck in whatever route you take

You will need a lot of tools. You will have to support the engine, remove the sub frame, transmission case. It's a lot of work, definitely not for someone with no experience or the right tools. My personal opinion, get a good clutch, like the one I posted and take it to a transmission shop to install it. It will be worth it, it's a lot of work dude.

I agree with this clutch kit. I currently have this along with an aasco flywheel and the UR stock diameter crank pulley, car revs up fast and has strong engagement!

Only real special tool is the clutch alignment tool. Many people claim that the clutch kit should come with it. But I had to buy mine. Definitely need a lot of tools, not many special, but a lot!

Every clutch kit I ever bought came with the alignment tool and everything else needed for the install.

I have a uncle that is helping me do the job, if i decide to do it myself. im still thinking, might just buy the clutch an look around hopefully i could find a shop that wont charge a arm and a leg to install.

How much did you pay to get your clutch installed?

I guess the job is done by now. How much did they charge finally? Did they have to lower the whole engine and tranny assembly or could they just push the transmission asside to reach the clutch. In what condition was the flywheel?
