SSIM MOD and REVIEW (long)(PICTURES)

alright so i finally decide to go with the ssim mod, i had a buddy of mine do all the machine work this past weeekend( thanks Tom).. he did a really good job with it. he matched the spacers to fit the manifold as well which is a huge gain. I also had the elbow shelving cut too. He had a buddy that had it done said he gained 2mph in his 1/4mile and .1tenth of his 1/4 mile time..... im going to install it back this week and give a feedback of how it drives since ill be able to relay it to u directly......

REVIEW TIME..........

Ok so to prove to all ppl, this is def a gain in my eyes. Now i drove around two days now in mixed conditions to get a feel for it.

1. from a dead stop in normal driving i didnt notice any low end loss, felt smoooth.

2. crusing at 60 mph (in 6th gear 2000rpms) i accelerated ( pedel to the floor) there was the low end loss everyone says appeard. ( normally it would accelerate rather smoothly just enough to change lanes with out having to down shift.) but there was a slighty sluggish feel til about 3200rpms and then it was in the power range again and felt smooth.

3.Hard acceleration from a dead stop, felt normally as can be, did notice alittle less spin of the line (no so bad)

4. punched it a few times from 40mph in second felt normal til about 4k and then it threw me back in my seat (head against the headrest) took flight from there.

5. I did also know ( that at high end speeds ( exceeding legal limits the car felt very strong and pulled like a freight train) i was mezmorized by how fast the speedometer needle was moving.

I think i wanna say that the myth came, from ppl noticed at crusing speeds and not from normal driving. They only other way would to be dynoing before and after ( which no one has done). so im going to think that this mod is def worth the money. The top end gain was amazing ( but keep in mind results may very due to the other mods that you have on your car.) Just a thought for you auto guys as well, if you do this mod ( try driving just strictly in the tiptronic mode and let me know how it feels compared to leaving it in drive..

hope this helps everyone alittle bit...
