New to forum, Help with low heat on an 08

So I just got a 2008 Maxima SE is a rebuilt title and so far is great it has only 35K miles on it, I drove it from Florida and before I left I notice that it had only lukewarm heat, it maintains the car heated but is not hot even at 90 degrees on the dial, so we replaced the thermostat for a new one and we flushed the system and refilled it with 50/50 ran it for 30 minutes or so with the rad cap open filled the overflow can till max, still it does not get so hot like on my other cars. I tried jacking the car up and bleed it again with the car at 1500 rpms same result, any Ideas?

I had issues with a lack of heat after draining the radiator and relocating it to install a high output alternator. Burped the system in my steep driveway while on ramps and still did not get the air out of the heater core. Until i purchased the lisle spill free funnel. http://www.amazon.com/Lisle-24610-Sp.../dp/B001A4EAV0 It lets you get the rpm up higher without spilling coolant everywhere.

Another possibility is the in cabin air sensor. It would be by your right knee if you were in the drivers seat. You will see the hole in the lower dash almost straight down from the ignition.

It's possible you might have a leak in the line... I had a leak before to an the heat coming through my vents were like cool unless I held my foot on the gas and kept the tons up atleast above 1500/2000 n then it got warm.. Took it to the dealer and they found the leak and replaced the line for like high $3xx low $4xx

Heater problems can mean a lot of things. A leak in the cooling system, plugged lines, heater core, or a malfunctioning blender door. Is there any sweet scent inside the car? That means there's a leak in your heater core and you have to tear the dash apart. You may also wanna check your blender door and *****. I'm not sure if scale can accumulate in the heater core though.

Last year mine was doing the same thing, ended up just being low on coolant. Added a 1/2 gallon and it's been good for a year. Interestingly enough my mom also has a 2005 maxima and the same thing happened to it. Never any leaks on either one that I could see/find.

First and cheapest thing I would do is replace the Thermostat. Yes it could be a lot of thing but I bet money that its the thermostat, locked up.

If the car's interior does not get very warm if the heater is on the highest setting, the thermostat is probably stuck closed, or there is a blockage close to the heater core.
