2006 Maxima Automatic NEED HELP!!!!!
Hey everyone, I need some assistance heping out a friend of mine who owns a 2006 Auto 6th gen. He said one day while him and his wife were driving the cluster stopped working, the rpm, fuel gauge, coolant, everything on the cluster stopped working. When he revved the engine the needle was not moving. He also said the lights on the interior from the dash and on the center console were acting crazy. He pulled a U1000 code and a fuel level code (his gas was at 1/2 a tank while I ran my obd 2 scanner) What could this possibly be?
I've already searched and found nothing.

Also, I'm not sure what exactly he is taking about but, he said he read somewhere online of people owning 6th gen Maximas catching on fire due to this issue? He said somthing like coins dropping in the shifter/center console and it will eventually cause the car to catch on fire??? Is this true???
Does anyone know of 6th gen Maximas being caught on fire for some strange reason???

Ok, coins falling in the shifter and causing maximas to burn is a new one for me. Never heard of that before. Well, just now hearing from you for the first time. I hope someone can help you.
Yeah man, I hope someone can chime in here. I ran a test on his battery and the rating was 750 CCA and it measured at 565 CCA. The machine said his battery needed to be replaced but, would this cause these symptoms while driving the car (all the gauges not working on the dash and lights acting crazy from the center console, all at one time)?? The battery reads a constant 12.87V and it cranks right up evertime you turn the key but, its funny everytime you crank the car you hear a high pitch whining sound, not sure what it is. I own a 4th gen and I'm not sure if the 6th gens start up a different way or what???
