Short ram intake, best buy

Whats the best and cheapest solution to get a short ram intake?

Which brand, where did you buy it from?

I want one with a filter that is not oiled, to prevent intake fouling.

I dont want a CAI that goes down in the engine bay because I dont want water and dust issues.

Please no DIY.

Thanks.

I bought my Berk intake from Evasive Motorsports for my 5th gen. You have the option of either an Apexi or AEM dry flow filter. The AEM's are cheaper. Here's a link to what you're looking for. For your 6th gen, the Berk/Apexi is $206. The Berk/AEM is $170. For a non-DIY intake, this is probably the least expensive you can get without buying garbage. (Weapon-R)

Here's the link for the Berk/Apexi since it has a pic. Evasive Motorsport's customer service is very good. If you have any questions, give em a call or send them an e-mail.

You can't include cheap and dry flow filter in the same sentence buddy. UI have a Takeda that is CAI and Ram. Not cheap but a good intake goes a long way.

Those are good air filters too. I would say that Apexi, AEM and Amsoil are probably the top 3 best dry flow air filters on the market today.

A while. Not this one but I had another one by AEM that lasted me about 3 years and didn't have a dust cover either.

I've had my Apexi filter for about a year, and my car is daily driven. I occasionally remove the filter and gently tap any loose debris out of it, and I use my shop vac on reverse (blow) setting, and insert the hose in the base of the filter to blow it from the inside, outward. It still looks nearly new, and there's probably around 25-30ish thousand miles on it.

Just find the best looking and cheapest one man. They are all the same with just a decal that makes them different. They have the bends, they use the same material.Just look for one that has the mass air flow sensor connector.

Some of them you have to remove that section of your stock intake and connect it to your aftermarket.I don't see how you'd get water up your CAI when it's in your bumper, unless you cross rivers or drive in floods. The debris I could see happening but you will get debris regardless if it's short of long.

Just clean it every couple of months. The filters are washable.I have that problem with mine due to the GT-R bodykit so I covered mine with mesh to prevent the direct debris

Makes a small difference. You definitely notice it on the butt dyno but the HP increase isn't huge. The sound is phenomenal though! Like music to the ears.

Always been happy with my Berk/Apexi combo. Not the best looking setup but the filter is the most important part.

It looks like you have a VIAS plate RAZ. Why don't you do away with the associated vacuum canister etc.?

Do your intake for best results. Make it count.

Larger MAF ID
MAF scale
Velocity stack
Resonance tune
AFR check
supporting mods (headers/exhaust/gutted cats, etc)

Stock can support 250fwhp on a 5.5 gen. 6th gen box, IMO, is better in stock form thatn the 5.5 gen, so it's a viable option.
