main wiring harnesses - differences?

Hi guys,

I did a search but came up relatively empty....

I have an 05 max that was damaged in the front end due to a collission before I bought it - and recently some electrical gremlins began popping up. I'm contemplating buying either an in great shape used main EFI or a brand new one. A couple of questions:

Is there any difference in the 04-08 harnesses? IE, can I interchange?

If there are differences, would it be worth me swapping in the connectors from my harness where necessary or should I stick to my version of harness?

And, if anyone has a great shape harness for sale feel free to let me know....I'll be scouring the classifieds.....right now!

Keep in mind that the auto and manual cars have a different harness. And the never gen maximas have cvt so i am sure there is a difference between the auto and cvt models.

Thanks, good to know. Any other insight? There's a guy parting out his 04 5 speed auto - pretty sure it would work for me....just looking for confirmation.

Everything on the engine should be the same. Connections for the transmission could be different. If there is a difference it will only be a few end connectors. I would just exchange the connectors from your current one to the replacement if needed.
