suspension noises

O.k. so after driving around 5k.with the eibach pro lowering kit on my car(2004se) I have noticed a very annoying slight pop coming from the rear. I know its not the shocks because I put kyb's in at the same time I lowered the car. I already have the wheels off , brakes and all the suspension arms off because I'm also fixing the rear abs issue I have been having and figured this would be a good time to address the noise problem however I can't pinpoint where it is coming from. Has anyone ever had this issue after installing a lowering kit? Any ideas?
Thanks

My bro is experiencing the exact same problem on his I30. He took it back to the mechanic and they couldn't even found out about it. The seniors should be able to solve it for you. I'll keep a close eye on this thread

Dont know your location, but they are known to make "noises" in cold weather.

Your strut assembly is put on wrong. There is a nut/washer that must be in the right spot or else it will "pop" when you cut the wheel sharp. Take it off. Re do it. Or just jack up the body and rotate the assembly and see if it wont settle in the right spot. Its annoying but a fairly simple fix

Well the noise is coming from the rear which would rule out a strut assembly. I live in South Dakota and it does get very cold here but I have been having this noise since the summer. While I had the car apart due to the tsb concerning the rear abs hubs and speed sensors I noticed that with all the suspension arms disconnected and the springs out I could grab the sway bar and it had a little play in it. It moved a little right where the bushing is on the passenger side. I ordered some new bushings from advanced auto parts but they sent the wrong ones. Yesterday I put the suspension back together with the old bushings and torqued everything properly and I can't seem to find the noise although I haven't driven it. Later today I will and hopefully the noise is gone otherwise it's got to be the bushings, hopefully not the endlinks. I moved those endlinks all around and couldn't get them to make any noise. How do you tell if they are bad?

The rear would still make the same popping noise if you put it together wrong. Its a gold washer on goes on top of the assembly that has to be in the right position. I lowered my car another 1/4" yesterday and fogot to insure it was sitting right and now mine pops as well. Stock struts on mine but will be replaced soon and the new ones probably wont have that gold cap
