Motor Mount Hell

No happy that I had to replace 2 motor mounts after seeing how they designed them. Now I am having an issue trying to find a upper drivers side moto mount that is also the trans mount? None one on Ebay carries the 6 speed manual motor mount, I dont feel like paying $100 for the mount that in my opionion is a $20 piece. Anyone have any ideas where I can get this mount?

Did you call the dealership? I think the OEM motor mount for my Maxima (2008) costs same as aftermarket. Or maybe even cheaper. I don't know about your 2004 6speed. What did the dealership tell you? Apart from thast, I have no idea where you could get it from cheap.

If you find an engine mount for 20 bucks, that's not in a scrapyard, I wouldn't recommend putting it on your car.

I said in my OP its a $20 piece, the mount design itself is junk and prone to fall apart. I have had over 20 cars in my lifetime and only had to replace 1 mount ever due to another faulty mount design.

Court Nissan has them the mount for $112, the Dealer wants $200. I will never go to the dealer after they give me a quote of $869 for 2 mounts and labor. I had someone else do this for $150 including parts and labor

You could always press in a nylatron mount and never have to worry about it again. Thats how all 4 of my mounts are.

Pollys a cheap and effective alternative as well.

If you have had over 20 vehicles in your lifetime I'm sure you understand that even if the piece is 20 bucks you are paying for much more than that when you purchase a part.

I was quoted over $900 for the stealership to do two motor mounts on the gf's '04... which is what lead me to this thread.

In my OP the piece is a $20 piece sorry these mounts are crap, too much rubber and not enough solid materials when they made these. Wonder why the stealership quotes $800+ for these jobs No thank you A-holes

Hot Rod you can find the mounts on Ebay for under $50 just make sure to tell them what side and upper or lower, as for the labor to install? You'll have to search around...My guy did my 2 front mounts in less than 15 minutes and not the 4hrs+ the stealership says...They are such liars

Just found the mount from hell for $55 shipped to me from Nissan Unlimited in Texas... They also carry the side strips that are crap for $20 per side....But they wont ship them cause they are too prone to be damaged in shipping...Good place to get parts for a good price
