Hay all. I'm having Abit of a hard time finding out what parts I have to remove to fit headers on a 6th gen auto. So far I know u have to remove the front fans for the front bank. Rear bank u have to remove the cross
Member, rear engine mount, inlet plenum if needed. Am I missing anything guys? Someone would have done a header install and know the exact answers here. Cheers Kurt.

I think there is a thread on headers install already. I'm actually going to do a altima headers install because it's the same engine with some fabrication on my 04 maxima. Didn't get much help on it because there's only a handfull of guys done headers and no one who did it with the altima headers. Good luck though

I didn't remove rear cross member, engine mount or inlet plenum. I just removed the heat shield off of the stock header and wiggle it out.

It's a pain in the *** job no matter what. I took a long time only because I wasn't in a hurry but its a days worth, maybe two. In front i removed the fans to remove the stock header and that's it. The aftermarket headers have way more room.

I think you're mis-understood my reply. I said you won't get much help, not "no help" because I made a thread asking for help and I barely got any replies.

Do the Altima headers require any fabrication to fit? I don't wanna tear into it and run into anything unexpected... I have an 04 automatic.

I may be the only successful SE-R Top Speed Pro-1 Header installed without shaving the starter/or extending the o2 sensors.

You are clearly lost and looking to create stupid and unnecessary arguments over a misunderstanding. "There are only a handful of guys who done it" I meant a few done it but no one gave advice. But if you want to play the bully game go right ahead. Some of ya'll seniors take this forum thing way too serious

Headers are not a CAI install, unless your pretty good in the garage, I'd just buy headers made for the Maxima.

Dude , I don't have the time of day to create stupid arguments ,

based on what you said , I answer to that the Altima Headers DO fit.

You got your panties in a bunch there kid.

There has been many threads about the SE-R headers , I have a complete write up on this.

Your the one taking this wrong , base on other memebers here bashing and bullying you ...think everyone is out for you ? if you read it and caught feelings on what I said then thats your bad.

I was pretty straight forward an answering.

you didn't ask for a straight forward question , just " I didnt get any help and no one who did it with altima headers " and I Quote.

your barking up the wrong tree because Im normally the first one to answer and help.

maybe *YOU* worded it differently but all I got out of it at your last statement was " no one did it with altima headers "

Lol its a car tht is more aimed towards the performance aspect, with the maximas u get a little piece of everything...luxury,"performance",size, fuel economy...etc

Not to be taken to heart but the maxima isn't really a practical car to be trying to get more power out of...and I mean tht with the newer generations cause I've seen 4th and 5th gens tht boogie, not so much a 6th gen just be glad your not driving a honda

Buying headers made for the Maxima is the obvious choice, the question is where. I've had no luck finding any made for this gen...

Camaro SS is ok I guess. Everyone made a huge deal about it but I don't find it attractive at all. Maxima can be turned into a really fast car but it will require some cash to drop in to the drive train and engine. Bolt ons isn't going to cut it. Everyone buys a Camaro or a 5.0, drops 5K and gets a supercharger and then leans like a cholo at every stop light, wtfever. If I ever won a camaro for any reason, I would sell it and buy two maximas. Now a 69 Camaro is a different story.

Enter now at http://www.winthecamaros.com/

1969 Camaro SS/RS 396 AND 2012 SS/RS 770HP SLP SC!

Id be more inclined to trade the SS in for the ZL1 and have the factory warrenty if I wanted a SC Camaro...but this is good, for now
