Ecu upgrade

Hay guys. I own an aus spec 2005 maxima 6th gen. It's a 4sp. Ive been reading alot about utec and working really well with the 6th gen cars. I just wanting to know if a utec will fit my aus spec maxima like it would the us spec. Can someone give me an ecu part number and see if it matches my ecu. Is the utec a direct plug in or do u have to mod it? Cheers Kurt.

Ok cheers. What harness do u have to wire up? There will be other 6th genres that have done this hopefully they reply.

Ok guys I've found another alternative for tuning and it'll save the **** around with the wiring and harness with the utec. BUT is this product as good as utec or other piggybacks. Please let me know what u guys think.

Is there a downside to only flashing maximas cause theres no base map? What does this exactly mean? Sorry I'm still learning about ecus.

I had the UTEC PnP like 4 years ago

I am currently using Pro-EFI and Haltech also has a PnP.

I have no idea if the Aussie version is the same, if your ECU and the 350z/G35 have the same plug then you should be alright.

This is the best I can find , I see body shapes of the Maxima in AU but im not sure or confirm on the ECU.

what exactly are you looking for ? what mods do you have currently and are you going boost in the future ?

Haltech and Pro-EFI are pretty the top dogs for the Z guys that are boosted and making big power.

UTEC you may find cheaper because it has its limits BUT it does good for your basic bolt ons / n2o. I had the UTEC before I switch to Pro-EFI for my boosted application.

UpRev is also another options for the US guys.

Do some research first, If you had any other car I would suggest our standalones ( Emerald K6 ) we are from the UK and few fellow Aussies owners are running are boxes BUT for drag/road cars.
Only issues is our standalones arent plug and play and will need to be wired in for CAN-BUS

Cheers for that I'll check my plug and see if it matches. I have full exhaust system with 3" catback, cai. Will be getting Nwp spacers. That's probably all the bolt ons I will do plus there's not many other bolt ons I can do other than cams witch I don't won't to do. I just wanted to take advantage of it with an aftermarket ecu. We're do u find the ecu on 6th gens?
