2006 Maxima Transmission Replacement

Dear all,

I just bought 2006 Maxima SE with 94, 000 miles on it. Nissan dealer replaced transmission with a new one according to previous owner. I wonder how long normally I can expect the new transmission will last? Nissan Dealer claimed that the new transmission works as good 2012 Maxima. Is that a reliable statement?
What other problems I have to deal with down the road?

Appreciate all information you may provide in advance.

Ming

Hard to say, i seen Maxima 04 up, some only lasted 60k, but i saw some with 150k before the tranny went. If you don't abuse it, it will last longer even though 04 up with the 5sp auto RE5F22E is built by Asin Warner isn't the best transmission for the Maxima. I built alot more of the 04 up 5sp auto than any Max or Altima with the 4sp auto. The stick shift and CVT transmission option is not bad for FWD Nissan.

Usually when the dealer says something, I tend to think otherwise. They do, and say things just to have your business.
