mobil 1 sythetic is great and last along time before needing a change if you use the mobil filter with it. Amsoil is the absolute best though, but it is costly, and the majority of the time youll have to order it online. mobil 1 you can get at most auto parts store on special with the filter

A lot of guys will disagree but I don't see the point in using expensive synthetic oil when you don't race or into performance. Some of these VQ's consume and/or burn oil and topping up synthetic oil will cost. I use castrol gtx with a fram oil filter and I'm good.

High mileage 5W 30 or 10W 30 if you prefer wil do the job for a daily driven maxima. But that's just my opinion. I race my car and I don't even care for that synthetic oil and she runs 14.2 @100.2 mph with 89 octane gas and 220K on my motor. Maybe if I decide to experiment I'll do a synthetic or royal purple oil with filter and a 94 octane and see if the car run faster.

Cool. So 5w30 Amsoil or 5w30 Mobil1 will be just as good for the motor. I also want to go ahead and change the plugs on the motor, what spark plugs should I go with? Anything else I should change or be aware of? (I want to get the best for this car) Thank you

I just had mine upgraded to NGK performance spark plugs, changed the PCV valve while you're in there, motor oil and filter, and you should be good. Check the brakes and rotors if you're on the tune up tip.

No need to go replacing everything if it's not broken. If you want a lil hp gain do the spacers and BOP with an aftermarket intake short or long, which ever you prefer your car has a long way to go and with the regular oil changes the VQ35DE engine will hold up for a long while

You'll have to google a PCV valve pic for your car man.

I've seen what it looks like already, don't know the location exactly. I will be looking into the NGK performance plugs. Do these need to be gapped? This car is my mother in laws, so what I'm looking for is realiablity.
