Good basic, cheap springs.

Hello all,

I am replacing my front struts and want to do the springs as well. I don't want the stiff, lowering springs favored here but the closest to OEM I can find. With a nice smooth ride and same ride height. I don't mind a slight lowering but want to keep it close to stock height. Any recommendations?

150k, Struts and springs original. I saw Moog OEM replacements for 80-100 bucks. Looks like a good way to go. Unless someone has something better. I want to replace the strut assembly in one shot. So I am buying the springs, struts, mounts, boots etc and assembling it beforehand.

moog is well regarded, I would htink their springs would be fine. is the 80-100 for fronts only? If you have the money I guess its a fine way to go. You aren't saving yourself much work though. only thing you aren't doing is removing the old spring, which is some turns of the compressor and one bolt...and maybe a rubber mallet Its not like you will be doing any damage or anything, just letting you know so you don't spend money you don't have to.

There's no need to replace your springs.

Why do you want to replace the springs? Many cars with 400k miles still on oem.
invest the money in better wipers.
