Maxima 2005 Chrome Roof bars

Hi guys, I notice that my Maxima roof chrome bars are starting peel, like the tape is broken and going off. Looks like the previous owner didn't gave good care to the exterior of the car. How can I replace or fix this bars? Thanks in advance.

If they are pealing then you can always cover them with designer tape. I don't think painting will work here. You can also buy them from Nissan, but they will cost you $100 each. Another option is to buy them used, which i did for mine. Good luck.

i may be wrong but almost every 6th gen max ive seen has an issue like this and i dont think its peeling. look at the rear section of the trim is it still bright and shiny? just my opinion i believe that when these first came out either the dealer or the original owner peeled the protective coating off of the rear sections but not off the uppers. i only say this because mine looked like they were covered with scotch tape and when i started to peel it off it exposed new chrome underneath. but im guessing from years of the sun baking it on its pretty much impossible. it just kind of flakes off in some spots and is really stuck on there in others..
