bumper ?
i was wondering if i could put an 06 front bumper on a 04 max or i would have to change the whole front

Right, maybe you mean a 6.5gen(2007) bumper on a 2004? There's a thread or two here on that topic.

I think the bumper is swappable but the hood and lights are different.
