Throttle lag.

Hello.
Having this weird issue, when im driving at constant throttle, i sometimes feel a dip like car slightly dies down and then gets back to normal cruising. Its like a split second dip, or lag so to say. Began happening recently, no codes, M/T.
Has anyone encountered such problem on a 6th gen?
Thanks.

Mine did the same thing several times randomly just days before my Camshaft Position Sensor went out causing the car to completely shut-off. You might check to see if there are any pending codes that just haven't tripped the light yet.

good luck.

they only thing i've had similar is in 3rd gear (i think) when i am accelerating at 3/4 throttle right at about 4.5k rpm the revs will pause for 1-2 seconds in the range, however my speed continues to increase irregardless of the pause. quite weird, but it hasn't bugged me enough to get it checked out. I am pretty sure a tune would smooth that out but again it doesn't really effect my driving and im not racing ATM so it doesn't matter if it slows me down a 2/10ths of a second.

Sounds like E-throttle "lag".

To me it feels like the a/c compressor is engaging when its not supposed to. Regardless of a/c being on or off, this lag happens. Not sure if a/c relay has anything to do with this.

Try cleaning the throttle body. It makes a big difference.
