Ok so I have the boring old Orange display lcd in my o4 max and was wondering if I can install a used nav screen to make it play dvds??? I don't want to go aftermarket because I like the way the car looks oem and I don't want nav just color screen so I can install the nav to tv, they sell online. And play dvds for my son on trips please help

 

if you're looking into putting a used nav screen, you're going to need more than just the screen as all your fuel econ, climate control, personalized settings are displayed on that screen and you may need to purchase the nav unit altogether. from what i've looked at online, i haven't found any applications where someone replaced their existing screen with a just a used nav screen. In most cases, i've seen people replace their tape decks and put in a double din lcd unit there instead (which im sure allows for dvd output depending on the deck you get). hope this helps. if you do find the solution you initially were looking into please let me know, i've been debating this for my own 04 max too and i can't seem to find any other way around it.
