Side curtain and seat airbag replacement?
Hello all,
Happy new owner of a 2006 maxima. Bought the car with deployed airbags in the side curtain and seat (passenger side).
It looks like it would be relatively easy to replace these airbags. I've found replacements for reasonable cost.
Outside of the actual airbag units, it appears I would have to replace an airbag module. Is there also a impact sensor I would need to replace?
Is this repair more complicated then it appears??

Replacing these parts takes a certified installer in the body shop world. There's a reason, because if you do something wrong you have a dependable safety feature that doesn't perform exactly as it was designed.
If you're even remotely unsure of how to validate the install...I'd recomend taking it to a shop...

I would not mess with anything that explodes in my face. Not worth risking my life in the event the system does not deploy correctly.
