**UPDATED PICS** Sub-enclosure+ few headlamp pics/vid

I am starting my custom sub-enclosure, Have been pondering it for a year or so. Trunk space is critical. I was borrowing my buddies hillbilly box, but its a piece. So i went out and bought a kicker cpx10, i think thats the model. I have a power acoustics 1200 to power it.

Comments and pics are encouraged.

I will post pics as i do the work.

And that brings me to now. Waiting for the wife to return with my hot glue gun. After that i have got to do me FG to the front portion. m Hope fully be done this week.

For Labor day weekend i am planning on pulling out my headlamps again and giving it a 2.0 up grade with color select-able "angel" eyes, and replacing my current LED's with brighter and wider ones. I am taking out the sequence on circuit, and hard wiring to power on at ON.

Current LED's in headlamps..

Some advice. Go to walmart or a fabric store and buy the cheapest fleece u can find. I buy fleece throw blankets on clearance for like $5. Soaks up the resin better and thicker and stretches better. I made a few of these for some of the 7th gen guys.

Hold on, is that bed sheet or pillow case Some DIY mod you got going on here. You're actually the first person who "I've" seen make a thread about subs on here. Usually everyone is on the performance tip. But I'd like to see what it looks like when the carpet goes on and you're done with it.

Didn't say it haven't been done, I said "I" haven't seen any audio threads for the 6thgen. "I". Most threads I see is about getting a car to go fast, or problems. Before the org I was all about show, then I started racing and getting some &$% whooping and it didn't feel good. Now I got the performance behind the show...

I haven't added any sounds to my car because I grew out of the loud noise pounding in my ear, and not being able to put stuff in the trunk due to custom work. So again I said "I" haven't seen any threads for custom audio in a 6thgen, not that it haven't been done

nice work so far, looking forward to the finished pics! How thick is the resulting FG? I'd put in some 1/2" dowels to brace it up.

nope. was curious why you bumped it yet never posted finished pics
wait, I see you updated... is that what is "finished?" what about installed with sub and carpet or painted?
have seen others fit a sub in the side, but has been a long while. My ported box fits nicely against the seat, but miss the trunk space once in awhile, though I can remove it fairly quickly.

lol looks great as is. I know the main point is space savings. Maybe don't even care, but has anyone tested to see how different locations sound? I researched and played with my 10" bandpass box. worked best against the driver side seat, facing up with the ports firing rearward. I can still open and fully use the right side. Other locations were muffled or less pounding.

Your designs are even better for space, but I just wonder especially with the 2 firing at each other, how the sound waves work compare to one.

(note most sub threads are moved to the audio forum, but this one is custom/specific to 6th gen. where wiring and placement threads are more general and better answered there.)

When I originally made the first box I had the thought in mind of if they would cancel each other out some with them firing directly at each other. That's why I had them angled towards the front. The second set of boxes I made for a guy on the forums I aimed even more towards the front just to be sure to get maximum sound.

I think the overall goal with these boxes are for saving space with sound quality being second. I understand I am not getting the best sound I possibly could be getting but overall I am very impressed with my set-up the way it is.

How much you charge to make the two boxes? Would love this setup as space is a major concern for me.

Wish I could quote you a price but I need a 6th gen to mold the fiberglass to.

No problem, just realized you have a 7th gen. Looks damn good nice and clean. If you ever find a 6th gen in your area to do the mold let me know.

Never talked about pricing so no type of transaction was discussed. I only discuss over private message. Thanks for ur concern though! You're really on top of it!
