I know, I know, another electric turbocharger thread.....

This one is different. Audi has a prototype with two turbos. One exhaust driven and the other is electric driven in their hybrids. The electric one is driven off of a 48volt system. I think this is what every car could use. If this is true, then you can guarantee these will be added to just about every vehicle in the future. I will do this for sure if the opportunity presents itself. Plus this is going on their current V6 3.0 liter so it should work with our car. Here is a link on Car and Driver.

Interesting. Audi will be doing this on their 3.0L Tdi. Audi has always been an innovator, so I can see this being real and probably would see this in the race Tdi engines.
