Blown two engines in 6 months

Wassup everyone. So some ish went down with my whip and I thought I'd share with everyone. Not sure if you all know but I broke my oil pump a few months ago at the race track so I had to get an engine, as much as it hurts to say I've done the exact same thing again. On the hwy clowing around and down shifted at high speed and high rpm destroying the oil pump and the tensioners started making mad noise.

So because I was so far from home I decided to try to get home like the last time except I didn't get far. I made this video so that others can learn from my engine so there would be no need to talk about how dumb I am for messing up two engines in 6 months. Hope you all learn from this

Yup. And I doubt i'll need to paint the IM because the engine cover goes on and covers that up. All my engine panels are painted too so there's no need to do it.

What do you mean by I must have mad money? Look at the car man, does it look like I treat it like S@#t? I built the car so I can enjoy it and why would I add bolt on's just to drive it. I race it, take it to shows, winter drive it, and daily drive it. I don't know if you race but you can't be into racing and not break S@#t, it's part of the territory.

It's just unfortunate that I happen to mess two engines up in a short span of time. This thread was created so that others can learn from my mistakes and that's it

^really.

Two engines in 6 months, both for stupid reasons that were easily avoidable, and you seem to act like its no big deal.

^.....I don't expect anyone to understand why and how I blew two engine but the car is old, over 230km on the body so I shouldn't be using it to race especially seeing that I didn't rebuild anything. It happened at a really bad time but it could of been worst. Found an engine, got my mechanic to install it, spent 3 weeks because he was busy, and I had 2 burrow cars and 3 rentals during that time, so if it doesn't show me crying I'm sorry but I've spend a lot of money because I enjoy it.

This entire org is based on who can do the unthinkable and who can make their cars go the fastest, what nobody says is how much it cost to do it and what type of obsticles they had to overcome to get there. Racing is a very costly and dangerous sport and as much as you may disagree it could of been worst. I'm just keeping it real. Period!!!

Do you think I intended to downshift at a high speed? My sychronzing gears are worn so it's easy to go into lower gears even at high speeds. Not sure if you have a 6spd of if you even race but when you're adrenalin kicks in it's easy to miss shift, down or even up shift.

But the car is up and running and i'm laying off the racing for now. So you enjoy it until the unexpected happens to you

You know they make better oil pumps for our car right? Might be worth the investment.

That's what I'm saying man. It only happens when I'm racing and I didn't get how I could go into lower gears without grinding or forcing it in But i'm done the racing for now because spending 3+ weeks without my car made me appreciate it even more.

I got my eye on the 5thgen's so I think i'm gonna make a project outta one of those because i'm in love with the VQ's. I need a 2nd car but unfortunately I don't have place to park two cars. Who knows man ya'll could probably see a boosted 5thgen in the near future....

Do you race man? Do you have a manual or auto? If not just shut up man. The car is up and running and I only posted it so that others can learn from my mistake. You spoke your mind so do yourself a favour and unsubscribe from the thread. Simple

I've heard of such but I'm probably going to invest in a project and leave this one the way it is. It's good for the daily driven and other thing. Had my fun at the tracks so i'm chilling it for now

Am I seeing right man? $1500 for a simple part? I can buy a whole car with that money and build a project... People actually upgrade their pumps? I couldn't see myself buying an oil pump for that much when I could use that money to buy another car. Thanks man

"...to anyone that has an 06 maxima, this can happen to you..."

LOL NO! Learn how to drive a manual car. So much fail, I like how there's no issues with this new motor but some oil issue that was very ironic. Idk what kind of so-called "racing" you are doing with 22s and downshifting to second in high speeds because there is no such racing...

So you made the same mistake twice, did you figure out what you need to beef up, you said the synchros are worn and allow for premature shifting or slipping instead of holding the gear, you obviously driving it hard beef up the 6speed

because people are born knowing how to race without mistakes. There is no such thing as learning! Michael Schumacher became a 7 time world champion F1 driver the first day he signed up as a race car driver...

This abstract thought...

I'm given er all she's got...

lol, everyone makes mistakes man, you just do it twice . I honestly would not have posted this because you should expect the attention you are now getting. People will bother you over it and if you don't like it then it's simple -- don't post. Way I look at it, at least you are safe. I'm glad everything is going well now and hope you don't pull a hat trick.
