clunking sound

so under acceleration i have a clunking sound coming from the front passenger side. it usually occurs during low speed normal acceleration and also during hard acceleration. i originally thought that it could have been my front strut so i had that changed but it is still occurring. any ideas of what it could be?

thanks

Did you check your struts mounts man? The strut mounts when worn will give that exact sound you're trying to explain. To be sure have someone turn the steering wheel while you're watching to see if the mounts are clunking, you'll notice the springs is twisting and quickly releasing giving that clunking sound. Mine is a 2004 as well and my left side needs to be replaced. If it's one side you should do both because the other side will eventually need to be replaced.
