08 Maxima SE 3.5 Maintenance Help

Hey guys I have a 103k miles on car and have never done anything to it but brakes and oil changes (nissan new tranny at 85k). My question is what do I do besides plugs and belts? Do I replace timing chain and water pump? Thanks

Just look at Nissan Max Maintenance Schedule for your ride . It will give you a nice idea what to do buddy .

Have a look at this : http://x.nissanhelp.com/service/2008_service_guide.pdf

Do your belts; I am sure they are due. I did mine at 65k and they needed to be done. Change out your coolant as well if it was not done when you had your CVT changed out.

Well Nissian replaced the tranny at 85k...Do they replace that or use the same old oil...

I would bet that they put new CVT fluid in when they installed the new CVT. They wouldn't risk a new CTV warranty by throwing in the old CVT fluid.

And when I said coolant in my previous post, I was not talking about your CVT fluid. I am talking about coolant; the stuff that circulates through your radiator/engine/transmission to maintain proper engine temperature.

You'll know when you have to change the chain tensioners; the sounds will drive you bananas. As for the waterpump, if it ain't broke, then don't fix it.
