yeah im all set i ended up getting a sticker, i cleard the light and drove for 25 miles and it was ready to test!! im not putting new cats in not yet at least its goin to coast a small fortune i just rebuilt the trans and entire front end almost 8k in parts and labor so funds are low and xmass is comming! so the cats can wait till srping time, any one know where i can find a decent priced full exhaust id rather throw a nice pipe on there in stead of fixing what there!??

you're not seeing the bigger picture. When catalytic converter deteriorate, they turn into small sand like particles that get sucked back into the engine and destroys the motor. It starts with a CEL for bad cat, then you start hearing noise in exhaust from the cat breaking apart and some oil burning, after awhile engine starts burning oil like crazy.

Do a little research online and you'll find thousands of horror stories, this is especially common on the 4 banger altimas.

anyways, good luck.

Google "Lacquer thinner in car gas tank" and Judge for yourself. Theres a lot of people asking the same question...I would say don't do it. Just buy new cats and you won't get caught saying "Damn, I shouldn't have done that cause now i just REALLY Fcked up my Car"

That's just to pass emissions ghetto style. I found that out when trying to pass emissions on my old '95 subi impreza L coupe 2.2L. I dumped four fuel injector cleaners into a 1/4 tank of gas, drove around a bit, added another ten bucks of gas and went to inspection after changing the spark plugs and flying on the highway to get the cats hot and while waiting in line at the inspection I kept the revs at 2500. I wouldn't recommend it because it'll cause other problems. Fix it the right way. Nowadays parts are cheap online. I just replaced my friends B1S1 02 sensor yesterday on her 97 max and I bought it online for 28$ shipped.
