Question about core support in 05 Maxima...

I have a 2005 Maxima SL that I had a wreck in a couple weeks ago. It damaged the left fender, bumper, left headligt and broke the plastic part of the core support that holds the radiator and both headlights in place. I talked to the man at the body shop and he says that the whole core support doesn't need to be replaced, that the plastic part can be replaced and re-bolted to the metal part of the core support. I am planning on doing most of the work myself but I can't weld so I can't replace the WHOLE core support. Can just the plastic part that runs across the front and holds both headlights in be replaced without having to take the radiator out and doing some welding? If so it will save me a lot of money. I was also wondering if I could buy just the plastic piece, or would I have to buy the whole core support? Any help would be greatly appreciated...
