Should I purchase a 06 max or 02 max?
It seems these cars have their fair share of problems.. the 06 engine is supposedly rly well built but the transmission is still crapola right?
Well I have the option of purchasing a more expensive 02 max than this 06 max.. 35,000 miles higher on the 06..
I still have no idea if the transmission was fixed in the 06 or if it had not failed or did and was sold to the dealership because it kept breaking..
02 max's have a few engine problems and a few transmission problems themselves right? 06 looks cooler I guess with more curves, and newer electronics inside.
But the 02 has obviously more time sitting doing nothing in a garage or something.. some surface rust under the hood..
What would be some of your opinions on what to purchase? Older less miles, or newer more miles?
The 06's transmission scares the bejesus out of me if it would lock up in 5th gear like that..
Can I get the dealership to replace the transmission parts where I buy the car from, that go bad, if the lockup of the transmission happens?
I'm sure the used car is as-is so I'm actually wondering if I can convince them into some sort of extended warranty since Nissan's transmission has a class action lawsuit against the fault..
