Driver Side Power Window Issues
Driver Side Power Window Issues
Hello All,
First let me say that researched allthe past posts aboutmy problem. I think I have it down how to install motor but I'm not sure how do you determine if its the motor, regulator, relay or switch is the culprit for the problem!
It has been acting funny the last couple of months until recently the window rolled down and it wouldn't go back up. I had to dismantle everything and put the window up and hold it there with duct tape. I have a 2004 SE with 184000 miles on it and I rather search a salvage junkyard for a motor.( If its the motor)When I push the switch the motor doesnt make any noise so I m assuming thats the problem. Looking for any suggestions on fixing my problem fellas or ladies. And if any one knows where I can cheap or used motors in the west chester,Pa. area would be great.

Disconnect your motor and test it. You can use a battery from a cordless drill and two wires to run power from the battery to the motor. You'll be using the two top pins of the motor harness connector. If the motor operates, then its good and the problem will most likely be your master switch. But if it doesn't operate and there's just a spark when you give it power, then it's your motor that you need to replace. If you need pictures let me know and i'll try to take some.
