I am potentially looking to buy a certain 2004 Maxima and right now the blower stay on full blast all the time. You can change blowing to heat/face/defrost but you can't lower the fan speed or shut it off.
I also noticed that there is no cool air with the AC. I am not sure if this is related or not. The owner says it didn't seem as cool last Summer already so it seems to me like it might be a leak.
are either of these a common problem that might have an easy fix on Maximas? Maybe an actuator under the dash or something?

Also, are there any other known problems with these cars that I should look for?

sounds like the a/c resistor had that problem with my a/c some months ago. o'reilly is the only place that carries them other then the dealer and it hit me for i think 90 dollars
