No longer a Maxima owner...but...

Well, last night I traded the '05 Maxima in on a new 2013 Camry.

The Maxima had 165k miles, trans started slamming when shifting 1-2 and 2-1. I researched the possible causes and it looks like the valve body would probably need replaced. Add to that, the clockspring causing the intermittent horn blow and it needing tires, and the check engine light has been on for a while with the catalytic converter efficiency code(s) and after about 100k miles it started using oil (about 2qts every 4k miles). So with adding up all the $$$ to fix what I know for sure it needs, I decided it was time to offload it. I considered selling it on here, but didn't really have time to watch the threads and weed out trolls. So dealer took it for $3k and I have a nice new Camry with 32 miles on it.

The "but" part is that two weeks ago I bought a bonestock 2004 350Z Touring with 6speed manual w/73k miles . So, I'm out of the maxima, but still in the Nissan family.

I know I didn't post much, but I do appreciate all the info I read on here, especially the Rear/hub wheel ABS fix!!

Here's a pic of the Z.

Very nice engine in that.

People complain about the rear window being hard to see out of.
Do you notice the same problem?

I see a lot of rear facing cameras on the Z's around here.
I figure that's why..

Edit: just noticed this is his 2nd post in 2 years.
I don't think he'll be back.

Visibility is limited, but not too bad. Nowhere near like looking out the greenhouse-like Maxima. I can see how there would be a use for a rear camera when backing up.

Just because I don't post (close to never) doesn't mean I'm not on here every so often reading stuff.
