Noob (female) needing power outlet/ a/c help!!!
A month after purchasing my 04 maxima, we found an extreme amount of engine oils leaks and a damaged belt. Te dealership agreed to fix this and just replaced the entire engine as it would cost less and had less mileage than the original. After replacing the engine, my A/C is not blowing cool air and all of the cig lighter outlets seem to not be working. I've checked the fuses for the power outlets but they are not blown. I've had the a/c checked and a problem cannot e found, yet it still isn't working. Any ideas on what this could be?!

The dealership did look it over and said they can't figure out what it is. They said it could be electrical but didn't think so as all they did was replace the engine. Have you ever heard of such issue? They sent me on my way with the car after that.

Did the a/c and power work before they dropped the new engine? If it did then take it back again. Tell them that it worked before, and now it doesn't.
On a side note, bring a man with you (not to be rude). Most shops think women don't know anything about cars. My brother in law is a mechanic, and has taught my sister a lot. But, shops still tell her she doesn't know anything. Anytime she's gone with me or my brother in law they shut up and fix it. Just some helpful advice.

You can probably Also call Nissan customer service and file a complaint. And yes, I agree. Take it back (and yes, if possible, with a male) and raise hell to the service manager. Explain that everything was working just great until they swapped out the engine and that the shop doesnt want to take responsibility for it. Dealers love to tell you that they dont know what happenned...
Hopefully someone else with prior dealer experience can give you some past experience advice.

i wonder if the technician remembered to recharge the ac system with refrigerant after all was said and done. considering they would have had to evacuate the system to safely remove the engine...that is, with out being sprayed and skin frozen. As far as the cigarette lighter, did they happen to mess with the interior of the vehicle? i wonder if it had gotten unplugged. no sense in it not getting power if the fuse was ok. could have mixed up wires when they were putting wires back during re-install.
questions to ask id suppose.
