screen flip

I have a 06 maxima with out navi and im thinking about putting in a double din and i was wondering could i take the factory screen and putting it at the bottom and aftermarket at the top......and also is there anyway i can change the interior colors from orange to white or blue

tell them be careful not to fry the board. then you mite be S.O.L. id suggest a spare unit for them to try.

I saw lots of ppl flip the orange screen below in the slot behind the shifter and do what you want. A shop should be able to do that np.

As for changing your gauges and the actual orange screen to something else, blue/white. You do need to solder the led's on, also the factory screen has an orange lining in it along with orange lighting, when changing those lights you lose the crispness of lighting the lining provided. There is a guy out of Rhode Island that did my work for me, back in '07ish. Not sure if he's still in the game but you can search the 6th gen forum/site for info.

Overall I was happy but paid ALOT at the time as it was more of the craze then. You will see hot spots on the lighting too. Depending if you can get someone to do a good job at a decent price it's worth it, otherwise I'd put your money towards something else.

Yes, it can be done. And it should not be hard. I have moved my stereo around to my liking before. Light are fairly easy too.
