Speedometer issue

I was driving my 06 Max and noticed the speedometer needle was below the pin. I turned it off and the needle dropped down. When I turned the car back on the needle jumps up to the pin again. It can't get past it for some reason. It's like it's stuck at zero. Can anyone offer a suggestion to fix it?

Honestly just take it apart and move it. That's what I would do. I've taken the gauges apart many times Its easy and if u have common sense simple to figure out

I did the magnet trick for gas, I have no clue if it would work for speed.
Stack a pile of 8 ceramic magnets from home hardware and put them above the gauge cluster.
Took 10 seconds for gas, no clue for speed needle if it would work. if not, disassemble...

you might not need to disassemble the whole thing, might be able to get away by simply taking off the speedometer, flipping it over sop the needle rotates by itself back to proper position. I have done this on a number of different cars, not sure what causes the needle to spike like that though.
