Greetings everyone!

My 2006 Maxima's alternator is making a high pitched squeal or whine on a cold start up.

I'm not 100 percent sure its the alternator. The noise IS coming from the passenger side in the front of the engine bay.

The nose is gone after driving the car for ~10 minutes which makes me think the alternator is just worn. The vehicle has 126k km on it.

Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

 

Your drive belts are either worn or lose.

 

timing chain guides are worn.
