07 3.5 SL CVT Problems?

Last while accelerating it felt like it just jumped out of gear at about 20mph. At first it wouldnt even acknowledge me giving it more gas and when it did the rpms just wrapped out and I gained barely 5 mph. It would get to 40mph and that was all she had.

No lights are on on the dash

When I went to take a video of it this morning it did it all the way till I got to a back road to actually video it and than it started acting normal.

Any idea what it is doing, what I could do to fix it? it has 106k miles so im still under warranty if its the actual tranny slipping like I believe it is.

It just crossed my mind, does anyone thinka battery going bad would be the cause? After all these cars are one big computer.

Take it to the Dealership and have your concerns documented.

have the rear abs sensors checked out. This is a common problem on these cars that give you the symptoms you are having.

You know the rear abs sensors make sense. I havent had a single problem with my maxima up to this point and it started after I painted my brake calipers. I soaked then down with degreaser, scrubbed them and washed them with brake cleaner. Possible that I may have messed one up by some chance because I drove it from my shop to my house (about 5 miles) and when we left the house to get some food is when it started acting goofy

There ya go! When something is wrong with one of them it will give you these symptoms. They are very sensitive! They are not very expensive and are fairly easy to replace on your own. Good luck, and report back!

Great info to know, I'm helping a friend change the brakes on his wifes car this weekend and this will help us avoid that.
