I have a 2006 nissan maxima with the service engine light on with the code p2a00 . I ordered a new sensor from rock auto and got it installed. After i drove for about 20 miles code came back on again. Did Anyone experienced this ? if so how did u get rid of the code

At the end of the day, stuff like this can be quite frustrating, for there is no smoking gun, per say. You can chuck parts at it all day and still not correct the issue. And that is very expensive.

So, you gotta be deductive and work through the problem. If you take it to the shop, time is money for them, so they're gonna roll the dice and chucks parts at it until they find it. You, on the other hand, cost nothing, so I suggest you learn about this issue and figure out it out.

 

Check your gas cap is on right and tight. Go reset the codes and see if it comes back. I usually make sure I get two clicks. Overkill, but better to keep from getting ridiculous codes. Check for any intake air leaks.
