Help...strange noise when the car is cold.

I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with my 2006 Maxima with 165k miles.
When the car is cold, I hear this strange noise when the car comes to a stop. To me, it sounds like an electric pump. can't tell whether it is coming from the front or bottom of the car. I know it has nothing to do with the brakes since when I let go of the brake I hear the noise too. It doesn't happen all the time, but most often when the car is cold. the sound lasts only a few seconds. At about 1000-1100 RPM, I hear the noise slightly when coasting in traffic. Took it to a shop and they couldn't find anything wrong.

Check your front motor mount. It's electronic and if it is making noise it is failing

Mine did the same thing. I confirmed it by unplugging it. When I did that noise went away. So I replaced it and she is all good now.

Just a follow up...it's the ABS system. I added my comments in the existing thread.
