2004 maxima SE troubles

my 2004 maxima has this trouble where it jerks while accelerating and changing gears. I went to the mechanic and he said it was the transmission. Can someone confirm this. I've also heard these is common for these types of maximas.

Slightly off topic but this seems to be a common issue with nissan from way back. My 95 altima had the same problem back in 03

I just did a drain and fill today. 5 quarts came out. I bought a case of matic K transmission fluid for 120 dollars at the dealer. I did my drain and fill as a preventative maintenance precaution.
