Transmission oil change

Maxima 2004 62,000km.
Want to do a AUTO transmission oil change.
First option .. drop pan, new filter and gasket...OR
Second option .. as above but with a flush as well.
What do members recommend.
THANKS.

no need to replace filter. (is there one?) drop pan if you want but not necessary.

If I had found the answer in a thread I would not have asked.

Looked but did not find an answer.
Thanks for your answers.
My local quoted for pan removal, filter change so I? am assuming it does have a filter.
Will find out yes or no when I get the job done.
Forgot to say it does not have CVT transmission.

No need to drop pan. Just drain and measure how much comes out and put exact same amount back. Only use Nissan K matic.

no, use only nissan k matic or you are asking for trouble.

the transmission was built to run on k matic. use k matic.

on the 5 speed (with shiftronic) there is no pan, and there is no filter, AND you cannot flush it, because there are no oil lines going out.
(unless you have the 4at? I dont know about this one)

you can do 3x drain and fill, driving in between a few minutes in all gears.
then

as long as you drain and fill once a year, you are never going to get trouble with that fluid.

DO NOT use anything else than k matic, you will be sorry when your transmission screws up.

I do a drain and fill every spring when I change my oil. solved all my issues, never had any other transmission roughness, been 130 000km since.

Make sure its Nissan matic K. You can use Valvoline synthetic import. But I recommend buying directly from Nissan. It might be a little more money but its better for the tranny. You need a 10mm allen wrench to undo the plug on the front of the tranny- drivers side. Make sure to put the exact amount that came out and good luck!
