pulling my engine question

hey has anyone pulled out their maximas engine im putting a different one in mine due to oil consumption. i was just wondering if it comes out easier out the top or the bottom. i have have a hoist im using so leaving the engine in the sub frame would be easy as long as wiring harness comes off nice. im just wondering what any of you think about doing it this way.

The majority of people remove it from the top. Only way I would. And yup, this is done quite frequently on the 5.5 gen due to that same problem (oil consumption).

Yes, I'd recommend from the top as well. Removing the hood completely opens up quite a lot of space. It's really not too much trouble.

I removed mine from the top as well, with the hood taken off.
