Camshaft Sensors

Hello All,
Has anyone used successfully Autozone,Advanced Auto Parts or Pep Boys camshaft position sensors for Bank 1? I got the stuck in 5 gear when I switch the gearshift over. When I pull down to gear 4 thru 1 it stays illuminated in gear 5. Nissan parts are closed today for holiday and I need to repair tonight?

For what it's worth, I had the stuck in fifth problem with random stalling & hard restarting. I used nissan camshaft position sensors, replaced both of them, and the problem was still there. I ended up replacing the crank sensor with an autozone/duralast part (I was so frustrated at that point and just didn't care anymore), and that actually solved the problem. Part was only about $17.

I would say to give it a try if you're in a bind and need the repair done tonight. The repair is easy enough that it won't be too much of a loss if it doesn't work out for you, and Autozone has a pretty good return policy.

Fail safe mode. I would always use scanner to tell you what sensor is bad first instead of just replacing parts.

I am not sure about AutoZone's parts though they should be the same as Dealers.

camshaft sensors

Hello All,
Thanks for the input but I am still getting the hard bucking when engaging in Reverse. I replaced the camshaft sensor again with a Nissan factory part. The original code Ive been pulling was P0340 and a P0340 P ( What is this code?). The car started and I shut if off and cleared the SES light. TRied restarting and there it goes again. The hard jerk and loud engagement when in reverse. I am so frustrated with this car. It has 198000 miles all from me. When this problem first started I had codes for P1800,P0301 and P0340 so I replaced the vais control solenoid valve, ignition coil #1 and changed bank 1 camshaft sensor. And the crankshaft too. I did noticed a little puddle like of reddish fluid on ground. I check the trans dip stick and it was good . I hear that the camshaft sensors runs on how good the oil in the car is. Anyone hear of this.
I need answers cause Im not prepared to buy a new Nissan (Actually I am waiting for he 8th Genenration to come out.) Is the trans finished? I don't want to take to a TRansmission spot to get raped. Thank you all for your help.

camshaft Sensors

Hello all,
I checked my records and I had the same /similar problem in January 2009 . Nissan claims that both motor mounts were bad and that cause the rough shifting and jerking into gear. Here is my question? Check out the parts # they replaced 11210-8J100 insulator engine 116.82 and 11270-8J10A insulator assembly 188.42. Labor came up to480.00 parts 305.00 and 103.00 discount coupons came to a total of 682.79. Arent thos part numbers for the the camshaft sensors?
