Ok, yeah its a little strange, but I am looking for a decent rail system for the roof my maxima....

I figure before I really mess up everything, I am looking for a safe and easy roof rail system to throw some bikes on. I am not sure if I really want a trailer hitch... but something would be nice.

 

There is OEM which is a low profile flat bar. Not much in the way of accessories to mount bikes. You'd have to adapt your own. I bought that system when the car was too new for aftermarket stuff. The other alternative is Yakima. I have invested in a Yakima system and just take it from car to car, buying the mounting clips as I change vehicles.

Yakima would be the better choice long term.
