Hello, I just pulled in here...

...and just brought home my '05 Maxima 3.5 SE 6 speed manual with 48K miles. I have a few questions and probably will have many more later. First, while accelerating in 2nd gear, there is a slight vibration in the stick. Wondered what might be causing that. Second; even with PA state inspection and two new rotors put on by the dealer, the stopping distance doesn't seem that great. There seems to be enough pad on the brakes, but the emergency brake pulls high before stopping the car parking on a mild incline. Next, the car has chrome trim strips on each side of the rear window. The strips continue on both sides along the roof line, but seem to have totally lost their chrome, if they ever were chrome. I have priced these strips at over $100 each and will not go that route. Any suggestions? Thanks for any advice.

Would post picture but having trouble.

As far as your braking distance i'd try bleeding the lines. Do the brakes feel a little soft? and for the ebrake the cable should be able to be adjusted and shouldnt be too difficult.

O.K. Thanks

The brakes do feel a little soft, maybe spongy.
