Hey guys its been a while.

My father is looking to pick up a 04 SL with 60k asking $9k tomorrow and wanted me to check it out prior. I'm looking for common problems and if it a solid price. I didn't do the homework on the maxima.

I've owned a 4th gen max and a now a g35x so i'm fimiliar with what a VQ3x can do and run. The 4th gen had its share of minor issues, common problems i've gone thru were like knock sensors and valve cover gaskets. Rusty radiator core support being in the mid west. Pass CV axle held with a bracket that took forever to take off. My g35 has been solid aside from cam and crank sensors.


Power mods what can be done for CHEAP power on the 6th gen. I have uprev's osirisis and cypher from my G35, hopefully if the time comes i can transfer it over.

 

if its automatic the trans on 2004s are known to crap out early
