HID KIT, need help!! plz
HID KIT, need help!! plz
So i need to replace my headlight cuz one of my lights flickers off after like 8 secs of turning on my car but the problem is idk what type of HID KIT i need... i have a 2008 maxima & i belive it comes with the factory hid lights?? HELP!!??
if it came with hids, you dont need a piece of **** HID kit china crap half the halogen output ****ty 6000k bulb.
you need a decent OEM quality replacement bulb. (a pair in fact).
I would go to theretrofitsource.com and get a pair of D2S osram xenarc nightbreaker bulbs.
approx 200$ a pair, best bulb you can get.
Then if that fails, you can order the replacement ballasts for another 200$ or so.
matsushi ta gen V ballasts. OEM. plug and play.
Rock on, your hids will be twice as bright.
Did that for my max, new bulbs, new ballasts and even new evox-R projectors (the projector fitting required some cutting, but the cutoff is awesome). A bit more light because the bowls are super shiny instead of dull. Not needed though.
Oh, and if it came with halogens, and some moron installed a ****ty chinese made hid kit in your car, well, theres not much you can do, it will just suck forever, you will buy another ****ty kit, and then one bulb will die, and then another kit, and it will flicker and die and have poor output....
oh and if you contact the seller for warranty, expect something like : "I not understand i sell many kit like you no one has broken you did wrong".
Ask me how I know?
either go back to halogens, which you probably cant because the idiot probably went with the hacksaw in your lights, (and you probably have water infiltration).
So either you keep buying ****ty china kits that will have poor light output and will burn every 6 months, or contact TRS for proper OEM quality parts. they will help you.
my hid upgrade cost me 600$ but the light output is twice as good as my original HIDS that were worn after 9 years.
