side power mirror "downgrade" ?

I'm trying to replace a 2004 SL broken side power mirror (heat, memory, folding, 11-wire harness) with an aftermarket model that that has fewer features and fewer wires in the harness. Am I correct that the plugs will fit and I'll only lose those extra functions?

Also, I'm looking for instructions to remove the old mirror "guts" from the painted housing, so that I could reuse my original housing and not need to paint the new one.

Thanks.

Best to order a complete-used one from www.car-parts.com

I did mine last year when a bus took off my driver side. Not hard to replace - - go to youtube for great vids how to replace.

New ones are beastly expensive... think I boght mineu for under $100 -- same color.
