Cars handling go mushy after work was done
Hey, I am not a suspension guru so I thought I would ask the people here who are. I had some bottem end damage. rod bearing pieces in my oil pan. So I had the engine replaced also needed new axle joints. I got my car back and now the suspension is mushy and I get a lot of roll. When I am on the freeway doing 60+ and I rock the steering wheel back and forth my car goes in a straight line and i just get body roll. Before the work was done if I were to do that my car would have steered in the direction very quickly, swerving but controllable. Now if I make a quick lane change, say to the left, and then turn the wheel to the right to straighten out the car, the car wants to snap back to the left a little so i have to correct again to get the car straight.
I am very confused as to why this is like that. What could they have possibly touched to make my car act this way? Before I had my car taken in for this work It was very planted on the road and the suspension and handling was great, responsive and precise. Now I feel the car just body rolls when I make quick direction changes.
